Bob Ratliffe
BOB RATLIFFE is the President of Silver Creek and chairs the firm’s Management Committee. In addition to his day-to-day leadership responsibilities, he serves as Head of Real Assets and Co-Portfolio Manager of the firm’s real asset strategies. Mr. Ratliffe added real assets to Silver Creek’s business in 2015 with the establishment of Twin Creeks Timber, a business line with $1.6 billion in committed capital that pairs a group of institutional investors with a timberland operating company. In 2018, Mr. Ratliffe led the launch of Silver Creek Aggregate Reserves Fund I, a fund with $830 million in committed capital that buys aggregate reserves beneath operating rock quarries.
Prior to joining Silver Creek, Mr. Ratliffe spent nine years as a senior partner at BentallGreenOak (now known as BGO), one of North America’s largest institutional real estate advisors. He was responsible for the portfolio management of institutional Separate Account clients in the United States who held commercial real estate assets in the office, industrial, multi-family and hospitality sectors. He served on the firm’s Board of Directors, as well as its Management and Investment Committees. Prior to BentallGreenOak, Mr. Ratliffe was a principal at Eagle River Investments, a private equity firm formed by telecommunications pioneer Craig McCaw. Prior to joining Eagle River, Mr. Ratliffe spent ten years with McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. in several senior management roles.
Mr. Ratliffe holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and received a Certified Commercial Investment Member designation in 2003. Outside of Silver Creek, Mr. Ratliffe serves on the Board of Premera and PayScore. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Seattle University. He serves on the Board of Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School and on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Behind the Badge Foundation.
